We use comfortable Safari outfitted SUVs

On the Maasai Mara we only use comfortable safari outfitted SUVs that are built to handle the varied off road conditions found on the savanna.   We spend the extra money on you for this important comfort.

In the safari SUVs, similar to the one pictured above, you’ll have an elevated perspective from which to photograph wildlife.  This is important because this elevated shooting platform allows you to easily get above the tall grass and bushes by simply standing up through the roof and under the protective rain canopy to photograph.

We intentionally stay away from the cheaper and inferior 4×4 minivans that have a lower shooting perspective and less space to move around inside.  You’re also more likely to get stuck with a van and waste valuable daylight and shooting time.

I’ve combined years of research and my decades of experience developing and delivering World class tours to create this itinerary.  It was developed with the underlying principle to maximize the balance between all of the following factors:

  • wildlife photography
  • landscape photography
  • cultural experiences
  • minimal time spent on traveling between locations.
  • SUV transportation vs. cramped minivans.
  • Lodges that have the right mix of luxury, an authentic safari experience and close proximity to our photography locations.
  • and cost to you

This isn’t the cheapest tour that you’ll find.  But, we firmly believe this to be the best value possible for wildlife and landscape photographers when optimizing all of the factors listed above.

We’re going to take care of all the essentials during the tour.  You just need to show up ready to shoot and leave the rest to Joseph and I!

Sincerely yours,

Brian Merry
